The status page

โ†ฉ Status & Availability

Open Status in the sidebar for a single view of your estate's health. At the top, a banner reads All systems operational or shows how many outages are active.

Two tabs

  • Outages โ€” incidents you report and track (see below).
  • Availability โ€” downtime JOATOS records automatically โ€” see Availability and uptime tracking.

Reporting an outage

Outages are incidents you raise to record and communicate a problem:

  1. On the Outages tab, select Report outage.
  2. Give it a title and description, mark its impact (Full / Partial / Degraded), and select the affected services, servers, and devices.
  3. Save.

Each outage card shows its title, impact badge, type (planned maintenance or unplanned), start time, live duration, affected-item counts, and update count. Filter the list by All, Active, Resolved, or Scheduled.

Resolving an outage

On an active outage, select Resolve and optionally record a root cause. The duration stops and the card moves to resolved.

Live dependency impact

Below the outages, the Live dependency impact panel shows what's affected right now based on live status and your dependency map โ€” for example "3 down ยท 1 affected (full) ยท 2 degraded (redundancy)". It understands redundancy, so a single failed link in a redundant pair shows as degraded rather than down. See Understanding redundancy-aware impact.

Notes & tips

  • Outages are reported by you โ€” they're for tracking and communicating incidents. The automatic offline/online record lives on the Availability tab.
  • Use the Scheduled filter and Maintenance Windows together to keep planned work visible.
