Getting Started
New to JOATOS? Start here. JOATOS is a self-hosted platform that discovers, monitors, and documents your IT estate — network devices, servers, endpoints, services, software, vulnerabilities, and assets — across one or more physical sites.
These guides take you from first login to live monitoring data, in the recommended order.
Suggested order
- Logging in and navigating — sign in and learn your way around the interface.
- Setting up your organization — set your organisation name, logo, and regional defaults.
- Installing the Site Collector — deploy the on-premises collector that reaches your local network.
- Installing the Endpoint Agent — install the per-device agent on workstations, laptops, and servers.
- Adding your first credentials — store the SNMP / SSH / API logins JOATOS uses to poll your devices.
- Creating your first site — represent a physical location that your infrastructure belongs to.
- Running your first discovery scan — scan a subnet to auto-discover and start monitoring devices.
What you'll have at the end
A working site with a collector reporting in, credentials stored securely, and your first devices discovered and monitored — ready to explore in the Devices, Servers, and Dashboard sections.
