Pinning a diagram to a dashboard

↩ Dashboard

You can pin any of your Diagrams to a dashboard as a live widget β€” a great way to keep a network topology or floor plan on screen with real-time status.

Pinning a diagram

  1. Turn on Edit mode on the dashboard.
  2. Select Add Widget, then Add Diagram….
  3. Choose a diagram from the list. It's added as a widget. (A diagram can only be pinned once β€” already-pinned diagrams are greyed out.)

What the widget shows

The pinned diagram renders as a live, read-only canvas:

  • Pan and zoom within the widget to explore it.
  • Live status β€” device and server nodes update their status colour (green online, red offline, amber maintenance, grey unknown) on a short interval.
  • Open β€” a link in the widget's title bar jumps to the full diagram editor.

Resize and move the widget like any other β€” see Adding and arranging widgets.

Notes & tips

  • Pin a site's topology or floor plan to a wall-display dashboard for an always-on status board.
  • The widget mirrors the diagram's live status but is read-only β€” edit the diagram itself from Open or the Diagrams section.
